Further to the success of the 1st Grid Plugtests in 2004
(80 participants from 10 different countries), ETSI and INRIA decided to organize an enhanced event "Grids@work"   composed of:

-a series of conferences and tutorials : view the programme
-a 2nd Grid Plugtests , during which two competitions will take place:  the  N-Queens Contest and the FlowShop Contest . This event will take place on a Grid infrastructure. You may provide machines to this effect!

The SC2004 conference will bring representatives from many technical communities together to exchange ideas, celebrate past successes and plan for the future. To reflect this important function, the conference theme is Bridging Communities, which represents not only the technical communities participating in the conference but the architecture of the city, too.

UniGrids leaflets were available at both the University of Manchester and NIC research booths at the exhibition.

Donal Fellows (UoM) and Sven van den Bergh(Fujitsu) attended this event.

Donal attended 5 JSDL WG sessions and the Workflow RG.

Sven presented the AJO work done by CINECA to one of the JSDL Working Group sessions and also attended other sessions.
